Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
Hours are published for 4 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 amβ5 pm. Note that it does not open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Sarasota Bay Dental at (941) 877-6574; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. I recently had my teeth cleaned and Crowns put in and I must say. Noboby is comfortable in a Dentist chair right? Well, they made me feel more comfortable than any Dentist I have ever been to and did and incredible job. They are very helpful with your insurance, freindly and sensitive to how you react to your dental experience. I highly recomend this crew.

This was my first time at Sarasota Bay Dental and I had such a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, they did not accept my insurance, but I decided to enroll in their in-house dental benefits membership for $375/year, which includes an annual exam, fluoride treatment, digital X-rays, two cleanings, oral cancer screenings, and a periodontal evaluation. It was absolutely worth it. I first spoke with Paula over the phone, and she was so helpful and welcoming. She invited me to come in person, and I was able to sign up and get scheduled the very same day. Jennifer was also incredibly kind, and honestly, the entire staff is superb. Dr. G was amazing!! so communicative, thorough, and genuinely took her time examining me. The hygienist Christina was equally wonderful and did an excellent job with my cleaning. I even found out I had two missing teeth that I never knew about, which really showed how detailed they are. The office itself is spotless and very welcoming. Iβm so grateful to have been recommended to this office and couldnβt be happier with my experience. Highly recommend Sarasota Bay Dental!
